Recently, on November 12, 2011, NightBlue hosted the 3rd Annual NightBlue Ball, its annual benefit whose theme this year was the "Roaring 20s". Over 100 guests participated in the evening's festivities, which included costumes, mojitos, and an encore performance of NightBlue's production of EVITA. Over $20,000 was raised, continuing the success of this annual event.

Located in Lemont, a southwest suburb of Chicago, the Annex will debut with NightBlue's Summer Teen Immersion program in summer 2012!

SUMMER YOUTH IMMERSION

This year's NBPAC Summer Youth Immersion Workshop will be two fold: one week in Lemont at our new South Side Annex and the other in New Buffalo Michigan.

In Lemont, students from area high schools will be offered the opportunity to work with NightBlue's staff in the shortened version of Les Miserables. This production will be an audition only offering that will provide an opportunity for advanced teen performers to hone their craft. Look for sign up information for the auditions for this mid June 2012 experience!

Later in the summer, a two tier Summer Youth Immersion Workshop will again be held in New Buffalo, Michigan. Younger performers will work with Director Paul Packer and his staff on material from School House Rock while the area's older youth will explore many dimentions of theater with a creative look at Shakespeare, possibly through excerpts from Romeo and Juliet. Not only will young thespians develop a production piece, but they will be able to explore and develop their talents with staff workshops in dance, character development, voice, interpretation, improvisation, and other aspects of theater.
